According to tacticalreport, the saudis are cancelling the second phrase of the Typhoon "72" in favor of the jsf.

lol I don't know if the american are going to sell the F-35 to Saudi Arabia. I'm sure Israel would complain.

On the other hand, Saudi Arabia has lately been arming itself with a lot of gear and Israel hasn't said a word about it. They're probably looking at the Saudis as the neccesary evil to keep Iran away.

Israel is getting the F-35 anyway so they couldn't really complain.

Well the F-35 is suppoused to give them an edge over their neighbours. If all of the sudden those neighbours also get the same plane, that edge gets lost.

But perhaps it's not that much of a problem. Israeli pilots are known to be among the best fighter pilots in the world.

I guess it depends on your pilots, and the defences of your neighbour. They will both affect how effective your aircraft will be.
